Impact Report 2023
2023 Wins
Our goal is to reduce financial barriers to treatment, and in 2023, we offered substantial discounts to 101 adults and six teen girls who were uninsured or underinsured. With the generous support of donors, we were able to offer additional discounts and partial scholarships totaling over $410,000 to pastors, missionaries, first responders, veterans, alumni, and those with financial hardship.
In September 2023, Hurricane Idalia was the first major storm that directly affected Honey Lake Clinic since we opened our doors in 2017. The storm brought extraordinary adversity resulting in unexpected expenses and obstacles, including an unplanned mandatory evacuation. Through the generosity of our partners, we were able to purchase generators and mobile A/C units to continue caring for our patients, even without grid power for seven consecutive days.
The Florida heat in September is sweltering and many of our patients were not native to the area. Couple that with the fear and trauma of a major storm, our team worked around the clock to ensure stability and continued programming. We could not have done this without your support!
A Note from the CEO
At Honey Lake Clinic, Inc., we passionately believe that true healing is only possible when individuals’ goals align with God’s design laws. Our approach centers on treating the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. Our dedicated staff, driven by a deep sense of purpose, are committed to guiding those who feel lost toward a path of restoration and hope. Despite facing numerous challenges and obstacles, we remain steadfast in our belief in the power of our treatment model. Due to our faith-driven approach, we have encountered difficulties securing mental health grants and regularly must overcome many hurdles with regulatory bodies, third-party payers, and compliance agencies. However, our unwavering dedication to our mission prevails as people reclaim their stories at Honey Lake Clinic.
Alumni Family Testimony
“Turner’s wish was for others to access the same care, as well as hope and healing for families facing mental health challenges. He had told us, if he had the money, he would send every one of his friends to Honey Lake Clinic. He wanted others to experience what he had.”

Alumni Testimony
I found the people who work at Honey Lake to be surprisingly compassionate and understanding. Honey Lake felt more like a family than a business! When I had trouble with my insurance company, the staff came to greet me personally and assure me that they would do whatever they could to help me stay to get the help I needed. More than once, they went out of their way to personally advocate for me with the insurance. When the insurance company refused to cover my stay, I was very pleased with the generosity shown so that I was able to remain in treatment. I am grateful to God for a Christian organization who practices compassion!
