Honey Lake Clinic came into existence when a group of pastors, clinicians,
and businessmen realized the dire need for Christian mental health treatment
in the US. While a number of addiction and mental health treatment facilities
can be found across the country, none have a holistic approach to deeply
address a patient’s mind, body, and spirit.
Honey Lake Clinic came into existence when a group of pastors, clinicians, and businessmen realized the dire need for Christian mental health treatment in the US. While a number of addiction and mental health treatment facilities can be found across the country, none have a holistic approach to deeply address a patient’s mind, body, and spirit.
Honey Lake Clinic is the country’s only residential Christian mental health program with distinctives like an all-Christian staff, Christian psychiatry as part of its basic services, and accreditation from the American Health Care Association, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and Department of Children and Families for Substance Abuse.
Accreditation is a periodic external evaluation by recognized experts that provides impartial evidence of the quality of care, treatment or services we deliver to those we serve.
This means—
- Your Team will be professional and experienced, comprised of licensed therapists, psychologists, and psychiatric specialists, and nurse practitioners as well as psychiatric nurse practitioners, all assisting you in regaining control of your life. Therapist caseload is managed to ensure you receive highly personal and individualized attention.
- Your Care will be overseen by a licensed psychiatric specialist on staff who can accurately diagnose psychological issues, and prescribe and oversee the application of appropriate medications to address your individual needs.
- Your Treatment will include ample time to allow you to thoroughly understand and apply the psychological tools and decision-making skills you learn at Honey Lake Clinic. The 3 areas of service will include:
- Primary Care services: to address any medical issues that are causing stress or might even be causing your psychiatric symptoms, an initial History and Physical and lab work for non-psychiatric medical issues will be provided in the first 24-48 hours as well as ongoing treatment of any prior or new medical issues. Services supervised by Board Certified Primary Care physician and delivered by credentialed and licensed primary care nurse practitioners.
- Psychiatric Evaluation within the first 24 hours and ongoing management will be provided by a credentialed and licensed psychiatric nurse practitioners at least 3 times per week and supervised by our Board Certified psychiatric specialists. They will assess and diagnose your psychiatric struggles and propose different treatment options and work with you in finding the best ones for your symptoms, diagnoses, and healing to allow God to help you renew your mind and transform your life.
- Psychological therapy will be provided by your primary therapist who is one of our masters level (or higher) licensed psychotherapists who are trained in and practice many talk therapies to help you uncover, identify, and address some of the deeper hurts, wounds, losses, and struggles that are bringing you into Honey Lake at this time. You will meet with your primary therapist 3 times per week for individual sessions, as well as 5 days, M-F, in your small process group to really learn and apply skills to help you overcome your struggles and equip you for abundant living.
